Beautiful panoramic route from the Höfatsblick station over the Geißfuß and past the two Gaisalp lakes back to Oberstdorf

The beautiful and not demanding tour except for some secured passages leads into the wonderful mountain world above Oberstdorf. The Nebelhornbahn opens up an extensive hiking area, so despite numerous cable car users, the paths remain fairly relaxed. Our route offers a scenic ascent first to the grassy summit of Geißfuß, which lies between Rubihorn and Nebelhorn and blocks the direct view of the Nebelhorn from Oberstdorf. The rather little-visited mountain offers a great view of the town in the rear Iller valley. The two Gaisalp lakes we approach on this route are very idyllicly situated in the mountains and provide a perfect spot for a break – whether with or without refreshing dips in the icy cold water. Finally, from the Untere Richteralpe, we take the Wallraffweg, a wonderful panoramic trail, back to Oberstdorf.
