Beautiful high mountain route (not a hike!) to a scenic 3,000 m summit: with views of Bernina, Ortler, Ötztaler, Kaunergrat, and Zugspitze. The ascent via the north ridge involves easy climbing (I-II) over block ridges and a few fixed ropes. The descent via the normal route is easier.
Via path 21 / 702 to Furglersee and further to the Furglerjoch (2,748 m). From there path 21 over the north ridge to the summit. Descent via path 25 to Scheid (2,429 m) and further into the Lausbachtal. The Kölner Haus can be reached from Serfaus via the Komperdellbahn (8:30 am–5:00 pm). Alternatively, the descent can be shortened by taking the Lazidbahn (runs only until 4:30 pm!).
