We start at 1,400 meters at Alpe Gaflei. While at the beginning of the route green alpine pastures and gentle slopes line the path, the terrain becomes increasingly rugged. The signposting to the Gaflei saddle leads us north along ever steeper slopes and rock faces. Particularly exposed sections here are secured with wire ropes and handrails, but sure-footedness and a head for heights are indispensable for this alpine undertaking. At the Gaflei saddle, the view inevitably falls on the Drei Schwestern, whose distinctive shape makes every mountaineer's heart beat faster. Below the Alpspitz-Schrofen the path now leads steeply uphill and directly into a chimney marked as "Chemi." Passing dwarf pines, it continues to the Bärgällä Alp and the saddle of the same name, from where the view over the entire Liechtenstein Alps is simply breathtaking. After we have feasted our eyes on this panorama, we tackle the last meters back to the starting point.
