The route begins in the village, next to the church of La Asunción. From here we will continue along the main street until we reach the N-330 road that leads to France, on the outskirts of Canfranc, past the turnoff to the Puente de los Peregrinos, near a gas station and next to the garages of the Mancomunidad Alto Valle de Aragón. On the other side of the road, the trail that climbs the Aguaré ravine is signposted, leading to Gabardito via the clavijas.
We will soon reach a dam and continue along the trail on the right bank of the ravine, which we will cross to reach a section equipped with clavijas where we will continue until reaching GR-11.1.
We will continue on a trail heading west, which will take us to the Majada and Refuge of Gabardito. The GR crosses the majada and descends to cross the Aguaré ravine, entering a dense forest of pines and firs, where it climbs again and crosses the Campón ravine to emerge at the Majada del Lecherín Bajo.
At this point, we will leave GR-11.1 which heads to the López Huici Refuge and start ascending northeast through a channel where we must remain attentive to the cairns indicating the path to follow that will lead us to the entrance of the Frozen Cave.
We will return to the Majada de Gabardito and from there continue on GR-11.1, which leaves the detour to the Aguaré ravine on our left. We will proceed to the Los Meses or Los Arones ravine, which we will cross to continue along the left trail, leaving on our right a detour (Gabardito path) that leads to Villanúa.
We continue on the GR, which passes by the Fuente de La Paja, continues through the remains of an old forest nursery, then leaving the GR to take a trail on the left, which will take us to the road at the entrance to the village, near the ruins of the church of the Santísima Trinidad. We will take the main street of the village coinciding with GR-65, through which we will arrive at the parking lot.

Directions
Canfranc is accessed from the N-330 road from Jaca to France, passing the town of Villanua, before reaching the neighborhood of La Estación.Parking
Parking in Canfranc is really difficult and sometimes it's not possible to find a spot in the village. If so, we can continue towards the Puente de Arriba, where it may be a bit less complicated to leave the car.
You can leave the car in Canfranc village in a parking lot located upon entering the village on the right-hand side or on the other side of the road, where there is also a large parking area.

Equipment
The channel that provides access to the frozen cave constitutes the most delicate section of the route, as the path is poorly marked (occasional cairns appear) and usually retains snow well into spring. During much of the spring, visiting the cave requires the use of crampons, so this equipment must be anticipated.Derived from the technical difficulty and the stamina requirements.
