Very different routes are combined here.
On one hand, the comfortable ascent via the gravel road to Schwefelberg, then steeply over the Schützsteig to Alpe Gsohl and further to the mountain inn Millrütte.
The chef cooks here, and excellently! On advance order also for larger groups or for gourmets special treats ... game, fish ...
Several descent routes are possible; you can even take the bus via Meschach to Götzis.
We chose to descend via the Luchsfalle and the Äuele ridge to Hohenems Ledi. A steel cable-secured but unmarked trail leads down through the rock steps of the Luchsfalle and under the rock walls through the forest until it meets the Äuele ridge at the junction left to Gsohlalpe. The ridge goes downward and becomes increasingly steeper and more exposed. In wet weather it is unpleasantly slippery, with steep deep ravines on both sides, a fall here would be fatal! With caution and care, the gravel road descending from Gsohlalpe to Hohenems Ledi is reached. At the edge of town, follow streets and footpaths back to the starting point Israelite Cemetery.
