Engelspitze crossing

The mountain route to Engelspitze above Namlos in the Lechtal Alps leads us from the village of Namlos via the Amselboden past the Engelbach over scenic meadow ridges with a fantastic mountain panorama steadily uphill towards the summit. First, we reach the Engelspitze's subpeak with its summit cross via a ridge. The path then continues over steep grassy slopes to the main summit, which has no cross. From there, you have a breathtaking view of the Allgäu Alps; to the north, in the distance, some Ammergau mountains and, of course, the Lechtal Alps themselves can be seen. The main highlight is the impressive Namloser Wetterspitz, as well as the Kelmer Kar, Seelakopf, and the rugged Heiterwand. You will also encounter a remarkable variety of alpine flowers. Further on, we follow a ridge towards Schlierewand passing stone cairns up to Rudigerkopf. From there, we have a beautiful view of the Imster Rudigkar and Rudiger itself.
