This central Dolomite peak is located in the middle of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park. The circular hike through the Langental to the Puez plateau is one of the most beautiful hikes in Gröden. The summit offers a panoramic view.
From Wolkenstein, you go into the Langental. At the parking lot follow trail no. 4 past the Sylvester Chapel and continue through the green valley floor framed by high rock walls. Then the path slowly climbs the left mountain slope with a moderate incline to the Puez alp. From here it continues more gently to the Puez hut. Just before the hut, the trail zigzags left up the grassy slope. Then you cross scree slopes to a mountain saddle that separates the two Puez peaks from the Puez peak (2725 m). Now follow the path to the left, westwards – first gently, then more steeply – over the broad summit slope to the eastern Puez summit. Return by the same way to the hut and descend on trail no. 14 into the Langental. Through the valley, walk back to the parking lot.
