Discover the Gschnitz Valley

This hut route in the Stubai Alps takes us high around the idyllic and typically Austrian Gschnitz Valley. With the gondola, we gain the first altitude meters so that we don't drop below 1,500 m for the rest of the week. Around us are peaks of 3,000 m. We walk along the ridge to Italy, along mountain slopes of primordial and limestone rock. Halfway through the hike, we include a beautiful day stage of the famous Stubai High Trail. We continue our circular route on the other side of the quieter Gschnitz Valley. A few days earlier, these mountain slopes sometimes seemed impenetrable, but now we really walk there. This hut route includes a few challenging passages. Experience is advisable, but you don't have to be an expert mountain hiker.
