Dent de Cons
Ridge hike with Mont Blanc view for hikers without fear of heights (T3+).
The Dent de Cons is the main summit of an isolated ridge in the east of the Massif des Bauges. The pre-Alpine ridge offers, in good weather, a magnificent view of the Mont Blanc group and Lac d'Annecy. Deep views should not be a problem on this ridge hike, because although the ridge crest is more grassy than rocky, it is quite steep on both sides. Fortunately, all rocky sections are secured with steel cables, making the ridge a pleasure for all hikers who are not afraid of heights and sure-footed. The descent leads over a steep grassy slope that should be avoided when wet. The circuit can also be done in reverse, the ridge is also well suited for descent.
