1st day: The ascent follows the beautiful forest road (Mark. 327), which disappears into the wooded Val Sorgazza after an artificial lake. Following the valley mainly in a northerly direction, the trail climbs steeply to the entrance of the Bualon di Cima d'Asta (1647 m) on the right. From the valley station of the material cable car to the Rifugio Brentari shelter, hike between larches and huckleberries on a beautiful path towards the northeast. At about 1800 m the ascent becomes steeper. Through countless hairpin bends you reach the Vallon area (2000 m) and then the ruins of the Capanna del Pastore (2131 m). Here the trail branches out; towards the left, a more demanding climb üover the rocky slabs Laste di Cima d’Asta leads to the Rifugio O. Brentari shelter (2476 m), while on the right the less steep Trodo dei Aseni trail also ends at the hut. A little to the north is the Lago di Cima d’Asta (2451 m), whose surface reflects the south-west face of the Cima d’Asta. Overnight stay at
