Start at the Hochfeilerhut and cross the south flank of the Hochfeiler. After a steadily ascending path, you reach the moraine of the glacier tongue, which you shortly cross. On the other side of the glacier tongue are polished rocks that can be climbed using fixed aids. Then follows a stony path up to the lower Weißzintscharte, from where you descend over the gravel fields to the Edelrauthütte.

Start at the Hochfeilerhut (2715 m) and follow path no. 1. After the glacier tongue, the path is secured with fixed aids. Later there is another trail. At 2929 m, after 2.3 km, you reach the highest point. Then descend through the lower Weißzintscharte into the valley to the Edelrauthütte (2545 m) and arrive after 1:40 h.

Hallo, hat sich die Situation mittlerweile geändert? Wie sind die derzeitigen Verhältnisse und was ist die Alternative anstelle dieses Verbindungsweges? Betrifft die Steinschlaggefahr und instablie Situation auf den Weg von der Edelrauthütte zum Großen Möseler und retour? Ich plane eine Tour Ende Juni 24. danke lg Willy

Momentan liegt viel Schnee. Bis Anfang/Mitte Juli sollte der Übergang vom Gletschter auf den Fels gut machbar sein (wobei Gletscherausrüstung immer mit dabei sein sollte). Danach könnte es recht kritisch werden. Je nach Verhältnisse wird Ende Juni/Anfang Juli Weg Nr. 8A wieder begehbar sein. Weiter über die Gliderscharte ist das eine Alternative ohne Gletscher, allerdings von der Edelrauthütte zur Hochfeilerhütte bereits eine Tagestour für sich alleine. Von der Edelrauthütte zum Großen Möseler handelt es sich um einen komplett anderen Weg bzw. handelt es sich beim letzten Anstieg um keinen offiziell markierten Weg mehr sondern um eine alpine Route. Ende Juni sollte diese auch recht gut machbar sein. Natürlich ist hier immer, besonders im obersten Abschnitt, auf Steinschlag und andere alpine Gefahren zu achten.

Montag 05.08 die neu markierten Weg von der Hochfeilerhütte zum Parkplatz Pfitcherjochstrasse begangen. Neue Route, gute Markierungen und 2 neue Brücke. Im unteren Bereich teil des Weges beim Übergang des Fliusses verlegt. Übergang war aber problemlos. Siehe separate Tour
