Roadbook
From the Franz Senn Hut, follow path 133 eastwards, soon ascending steeper larch slopes and bypassing a terrain rise on the north side. Then the path crosses the wide basin of the "Kuhgschwetz" and turns markedly south at about 2200 m elevation. Soon the trail leads steeply uphill through scree. After it becomes flatter, the path turns east again and leads into the cirque of Platzgrube, through which it continues south over scree but without difficulty to the 2706 m high Schrimmennieder, from where there is a magnificent view.
From the saddle, the route first goes down southwards in a few switchbacks, crossing scree fields repeatedly. Eventually, you reach a crossing path and follow it to the right (west). By initially crossing a wide southeast-facing slope at the same elevation and then descending a little, you reach the New Regensburg Hut.
