Crossing from Potsdamer Hut to Franz Senn Hut

From the hut, follow the clear path above the Fotscher stream heading southeast. At a fork, keep to the left and descend further to the stream, which can be crossed on a bridge. On the other side, the path immediately climbs more steeply to the south before the terrain levels off somewhat again in a cirque. Finally, a progressively steep ascent in many switchbacks, partly over scree, leads up to the 2585 m high Wildkopfscharte.

On the other side, it now goes down wide alpine meadows to the south towards the Seduggalm Hochleger, where you can refresh yourself during the summer season. From there, follow a beautiful high-level path that crosses the slopes approximately at the same altitude to the southwest, high above the Alpeiner stream. Many side streams are crossed along the way until you finally reach the Alpeiner stream, next to which the Franz Senn Hut is already located.
