Roadbook
From the Geraer Hut, follow path 502 eastwards, which initially leads gently and then steeper along the southwest flank of the Fußstein. Large scree fields are crossed and you pass the remains of a mine.
Then it continues significantly steeper over scree up to the 2959 m high Alpeiner Scharte, from where you have a great view towards the Große Möseler.
It also goes steeply down the other side to the east over fine scree. At a rock head, you reach a large cairn. Now descending constantly southeast, a small stream is crossed on smooth rock slabs; this spot is secured with a rope. Another eroded water channel is crossed by going a bit up and down.
Finally, you reach the large Unterschrammachkar, where you meet the connecting path between Pfitscher Joch House and Olperer Hut, which you now follow to the left northeast. The path descends 100 meters to the leveling of the Hinterboden, crosses the Unterschrammach brook and then runs along the 2300 m elevation line.
After rounding a ridge descending from the Olperer with a slight ascent, you arrive at the Riepenkar and curve again flatly over to the Olperer Hut.
