Roadbook
Directly west of the Franz Senn Hut, you cross the Alpeiner Bach via a bridge and then initially follow the path towards the Starkenburger Hut for a good stretch to the northeast, ignoring the left turn to Schafgrübler. High above the valley, the scenic path leads roughly at the same elevation to the rest stop Seduckalm Hochleger, crossing many side streams along the way.
At the Am you turn left and now ascend over wide meadow slopes to the Wildkopfscharte (here optional summit possibility Wildkopf).
On the other side, the path first descends more steeply and often over scree, then somewhat flatter in a cirque to the north. Before reaching the valley floor, the path descends once more in switchbacks over steeper steps and then crosses the Fotscher Bach. On the other side, it finally goes northeast without any orientation difficulties, always following the valley to the Potsdammer Hut.
