Easy hike to a hut-near mountain, also suitable as an acclimatization route (next to Monte Pena) before a Pelmo ascent.
Ascent to Rifugio Venezia and via a dwarf pine corridor over the southwest ridge to the unadorned summit.

Roadbook
The Rifugio Venezia can be reached from the parking lot on the right via an alpine road. However, our hiking trail No. 471 leads past the last houses on the left and turns right after about 150m via a meadow path into a stream gorge. After crossing the footbridge, the path ascends at a moderate incline over a long ridge on a beautiful shady path to the aforementioned alpine road above the Casera di Rutorto. After a few meters on the alpine road, turn right and continue almost flat along the rocky west flank of Monte Pena on a gravel road. After a stream gorge, the road ends; a wide alpine path leads over several swampy stream sections to the Passo di Rutorto. If you continue 200m eastward into a hollow, the Rifugio Venezia is reached on a small hill.
At Passo di Rutorto, the hiking trail to Monte Pena branches off to the right (southwards). It goes flat over a wide, swampy ridge to the weather station. Here we leave the path to the left and hike eastwards slightly downhill on a ridge covered with dwarf pines into a wide saddle. From here, a small path leads through a long narrow dwarf pine corridor in a few minutes fairly easily to the unadorned small rocky summit.
Descent along the ascent route (or, for a planned Pelmo ascent, to the recommended Rifugio Venezia).
