Cima Laurasca

The Cima della Laurasca is considered one of the most beautiful mountain peaks in Val Grande National Park due to its magnificent view. Even during the steep ascent, you have the mountain in sight, towering high above Val Loana – our starting point. From the top, we look not only over the Vigezzo, Centovalli, Ossola, and Loana valleys, but also to Lago Maggiore and the Wallis 4000-meter peaks. Val Grande National Park is Italy's largest wilderness area. In the valleys, the silence of nature prevails, and we humans are asked to show consideration for plants and animals. Our path leads us through Val Loana and steeply up to Cima della Laurasca. Passing some huts and small moor lakes, the trail becomes more demanding and alpine, including exposed sections.
