The described path here is not easy; some climbing sections with rope protection of level 1 difficulty must be overcome at the beginning of the tour. When you reach the summit plateau, you have magnificent views of the surrounding rock formations and a dreamlike view of Lake Garda. The summit area again requires surefootedness. The descent is via Laghel and is easier to manage. Those who want to avoid the climb should hike the route in the opposite direction.
Author’s recommendation
In summer, this route is often too hot because the ascent takes place mostly on the south side. Ideal hiking time is March to June and September to November.

At the beginning of the climbing rocks of the Baone climbing garden, surefootedness and a head for heights are required. A short section near the summit is a bit exposed, but the path is wide enough and easily manageable with appropriate caution.Tips and suggestions

Roadbook
From the parking lot, follow the road Via S. Marcello to a passage. Shortly after, turn right onto Via Monte. Follow this road to the sign Falesia di Baone, then turn right and climb up to the rock slabs. We reach the parking lot of the climbing rocks of Baone. Continue to the rocks, then along the right edge of the rocks until we reach the red markings. A short stretch along the rock face to the left where the rope protections begin (not a via ferrata!). Climb upwards over beautiful slabs with difficulty level 1 until we reach the hazelnut bushes. Shortly after we reach a small house in the middle of olive trees. After the house, the power poles show us the direction until it becomes flatter again. We arrive at a larger estate. Pass the driveway gate and follow the forest road for about 20 m, then a trail branches off to the right, which we follow to the fence of the estate. Now about 500 m along the fence until we reach a sign Cima di Baone. Here, climb a bit steeper into the forest; shortly afterwards it becomes flatter again and goes slightly downhill. At a stone wall we turn right and reach a sign Cima di Baone. From here, in about 15 minutes (attention, slightly exposed) to the summit of Cima di Baone.
Descent:
From the summit, walk back to the stone wall and follow the signs to Laghel. In a few switchbacks down a wide path to the paved road. Here, follow the road south towards Arco. At the first opportunity, a forest road branches off to the right, which we follow. We reach beautiful olive groves. At the first sharp left curve, a small trail branches off. Via this, we can shorten the forest road until we reach it again. Now along the mighty rock cliffs of Cima di Baone until we reach the village Chiarano again. From here back to the parking lot.
