Start the hike in a north-westerly direction, along a paved mule track that leads into the Valle del Sìngol. After the left forks towards Dalco and Val Scaglione (straight ahead), go to the end of the valley and climb to the right towards the northeast (several hairpin bends). Where paths 101 (Val Salumi) and 120 (Bocca Fortini) cross, continue to the left to Malga Valaco (769 m). This is the start of the wooded Valle Piana, which you follow to the end of the valley and from there hike up the last steep stretch to Bocca Fortini (1243 m) with a good view. Continue to the right until the path joins the Sentiero Agostini Tosi, which first leads up through several hairpin bends through the woods and then through a narrow gorge (ropes and stone steps) to the summit of Monte Carone (1621 m – summit cross). In addition to the impressive remains of the First World War, this mountain also offers an excellent panoramic view over Lake Garda and Monte Baldo to the southern part of the Adamello
