Cabanne du Mountet

From the parking lot head west over the bridge and then follow the signpost over the flat valley floor to a steep slope at the end of the valley. Now continue up the track a bit steeper until you reach the turn-off to the Cabanne Mountet at a bridge. Cross the bridge and then head south on the path, which gets increasingly steep, to a shoulder at 2450m. Here the path flattens and after another 15 minutes you reach a viewpoint with a cross at 2460m above sea level. Here the path climbs steeply again and at around 2550 m you reach the suspension bridge. Cross this and then continue following the steep path (occasionally with cable protections) into a high cirque at about 2800m. Cross this high cirque towards the southeast to the foothills of Le Mommouth. From there, in a few minutes to the hut.
