On the way to the Gotthard, the Bristen inevitably catches every driver's eye. The massive pyramid rises 2500 m above the Urner Reusstal. Admittedly, seen from the valley this mountain looks almost insurmountable, but the difficulties lie less in technical aspects and more in physical challenge. To conquer the mountain in one day, you have to overcome more than 2300 altitude meters. Alternatively, you can also spend the night in the small Bristensee hut. The Bristen has four distinct ridges, three of which are accessible. The easiest path leads from the Bristenseeli over the northeast ridge (T5). Those who love long ridge climbs have found the right place here. There are a formidable 700 altitude meters of beautiful solid rock to scramble up to the summit.
