Big pick-up

From the parking lot of the old Wellenberg outdoor pool, the tour is well signposted up to the Aufackergipfel. The path mostly leads up through the forest and surprises again and again with beautiful views over Oberammergau. We see the Laber, the Notkarspitze, the Kofel and the Teufelsstättkopf. The summit is perfect for a rest. Attention is required on the descent to find the Aufackersteig trail. Here you can use the track of this tour as a guide. The trail leads steeply downhill in places, crosses steep meadow slopes and meets the Altherrenweg trail further down, which takes you back to the starting point of the tour.
