Route
From Lechleiten, southwards over meadows, after about 45 minutes past a renovated hay hut, further to the Hundskopfalpe, past the junction Mauerles Hut over steep grassy slopes
Stages
After 1h 15 min junction Mauerles Hut. Alternative for the return route. Shortly below the summit, at about 2,500 m altitude, the path leads to the Rappensee Hut (from here about 1h 45 min to the hut).
