The circular hike around the world-famous Rosengarten massif offers both fantastic viewpoints and cozy places to stop for refreshments.
In the heart of the Dolomites, the hike takes us from the Paolinahütte to the Rotwandhütte. Over the Cigolade Pass and the Tschagerjoch, we then reach the beautifully located Rosengartenhütte, which offers us a breathtaking view. The impressive Rosengarten consists of rugged dolomite rocks and large scree fields that rise high above the gentle alpine pasture landscape. According to legend, the rock massif is home to the petrified garden of the dwarf king Laurin. His roses are said to be invisible by day or night, only at dusk does their glowing red become visible. The alpenglow on the bright, steep rock faces at sunset remains a fascinating natural spectacle today. To reach the starting point of the route, you can comfortably take the cable car. The Paolinahütte already offers the first opportunity to stop for refreshments at the start, later the Rotwand- and Rosengartenhütte also invite you to a cozy rest.
