Approach to the Franz-Senn-Hütte from Seduck via Seduck Hochalm
Alternative approach to the Franz-Senn-Hütte. No fear of heights and sure-footedness required.
Since the access road to Oberissalm was still closed as of July 2023, the approach starts in Seduck. It is possible to walk through the Oberbergtal on the road to Oberissalm and then follow the usual approach from there (about 3 hours from Seduck), but there is a nicer option without any road. The variant described here follows the path to the Seducker Hochalm and then crosses the slopes above the Oberbergtal towards the Franz-Senn-Hütte. Wonderful views of the glaciated peaks of the Stubai Alps and the nearby alpine meadows are guaranteed.
