Ridge traverse Bettmerhorn-Eggishorn and return on the Aletsch Panorama Trail (T4).
This round route is all about the Great Aletsch Glacier. Initially, we admire the mighty ice stream from the Bettmergrat. The high-altitude path from Bettmerhorn to Eggishorn is one of Switzerland's most beautiful ridge traverses. From the Eggishorn, you can see all the way to the Konkordiaplatz, where three powerful ice streams merge into the Aletsch Glacier. On the descent to the glacier edge, we pass the lovely Märjelenseen with the cozy Gletscherstube. The return to Bettmeralp follows the Aletsch Panorama Trail directly above the rugged glacier surface. The route is easily accessible by cable car up to 2650 meters. However, it should not be underestimated; only those who enjoy light scrambling on rock blocks will have fun. All exposed sections are very well secured.
