2,736 m

This long, strenuous circular route high above St. Walburg leads over three mountains. Muttegrub (2736 m) and Rontscher (2711 m) are among the lesser-known and less-frequented peaks in the Ultental, while the 2542 meter-high Peilstein, as the local mountain of St. Walburg, is one of the most popular excursion destinations.

Starting from the parking lot, you first follow the paved road, where the marker no. 4 branches off to the left. Over this wide tractor track, which initially leads directly through the Simian farm, you ascend. Shortly before the intersection with the forest road leading to Riemerbergl Alm, the shortcut branches left. Through an increasingly sparse larch forest, it goes steeply uphill before you cover the last 500 meters to the managed alp (2050 m) on the slightly flatter forest road. From the alp, which you reach after about an hour, it goes very steeply uphill to a fork in the path, where you keep left and always follow marker no. 4. Initially flat, then somewhat steeper, you reach the unmanaged Kofelraster Alm (2313 m) after two hours and then the first of the two Kofelraster lakes. Passing the left shore, you reach the fork where a path leads left to Hohen Dieb. At this point, however, you follow the marker towards Rontscher (no. 3 or 7) and soon reach the second lake. From there,
