21 Cima La Uzza
Follow the forest road in a north-westerly direction and, after crossing the Torrente Roldone (torrent), continue towards the south. Soon you turn onto a beautiful path that, after a short stretch in the woods, leads to the charming Alpe di Maggiasone. After crossing another stream (beautiful wooden bridge), leave the Malga Maggiasone pasture (1718 m) on the left and follow the marked trail towards the southwest. Rising over the alpine pastures, the trail winds its way in numerous hairpin bends to the foot of the southeast side of Cima La Uzza. The surroundings, dominated here by the white limestone rock, which stands in stark contrast to the dark grey rock of the north side of Monte Corona, look very much like the Dolomites. Now you climb through a narrow valley hollow, which then narrows into a very narrow cut. Shortly afterwards you reach the Passo del Frate (2248 m), where the panorama opens up towards the south-west onto Monte Bruffi one and the Cornone di Blumone. In the area of
