Now, somewhat disappointing for experienced mountain bikers, the route leads down a paved road into the Canale di Dogna, a lonely but beautiful valley. At a cluster of old houses at about 850 m altitude, a concreted cart track branches off to the right. This track is partly gravelled, partly concreted, and in the upper section partly extremely steep over longer stretches (estimated up to 20%). Once you reach the first Alpine meadows, the gravel path becomes wider and flatter again leading to the Sella Biéliga (highest point of the route at just under 1500 m altitude).
From the pass down, you must not miss the turnoff to the hiking trail. This path is partly dilapidated in the upper part, and some sections have to be pushed or carried (creek crossings). Further down, a partly very steep forestry road leads down to the Canal Valley. Once you reach the "Railway" bike path (disused railway line), it is a relaxing ride back to Valbruna.
