Flowy trails
This route combines some flowy trails between Treh on the Route des Cretes and Kruth. Except a few switchbacks there are no major difficulties. Enjoy!
Pedal to Oderen on the bike path and turn right into Rue Durrenbach. Follow the well maintained road forest all the way up to Treh. The start is a little steeper, but soon the gradient becomes more gentle. Once you are up turn hard right and follow the hiking trail (red triangle). It starts in open terrain, don't miss the trail turning left. It enters the forest where two tight(ish) switchbacks wait... After the small hut the trail opens up and becomes fast with some fun corners. Shortly before the "Gommkopf" it becomes slightly rough. Squeeze your bike through the cow gate and turn right shortly after. Cruise around the little peak, don't miss the trail turning off to the right. Follow the double track left, after a few hundret meters the trail continues on the right. (Tip: Switchback lovers continue straight direction "Uhufels", the trail becomes a switchback Eldorado there)
Follow the trail dopwn via "Strass" all the way to Kruth. First it runs over beautiful forest soil, later some rocks and gravel is added.
In Kruth turn right onto "Rue de la Croix" and later onto "Chemin du Treh". Follow the MTB route signs until you get back to the first uphill and continue riding up to Treh again. This time ride the little road past the Ferme Auberge, or stop there for tasty food. The second downhill starts directly after the farmhouse. It leads down over the meadows and into the forest. Mostly straight and fast it follows the mountain side. Watch out and slow down for hikers, please! Keep following the trail downhill, after a few switchbacks you'll get to a small hut. 50 m later the trails turns-off to the left, don't miss it. It will take you to open terrain with nice views and more switchbacks, most of them not too difficult. There are some more cow gates, make sure to close them behind you. Apart from these interruptions you can fully enjoy the trail.
