Trans-Ligurien: Stage 2 from Ormea to Molini di Triora
Stage 2 of the Trans-Ligurien: over the Colle di Nava to Molini di Triora in the Valle Argentina
From Ormea you first go along the Tanaro river and up towards Colle di Nava. From the pass height then steeply up to a ruin. But only briefly. Then continue on a fairly flowy forest and meadow path towards the west. The route crosses the pass road several times to follow the mostly easily rideable hiking trail. Shortly before San Bernardo di Mendatica a trail balances exposed on the slope, past dilapidated stone houses. Then continue on scenic tracks, which Mussolini once had built for military purposes. The Garezzo tunnel marks the highest point. Beyond stretches the Valle Argentina. The easy path down to Molini follows the military track and includes a few trails that lead almost vertically down to Molini di Triora in picturesque hairpin bends.
