A small but fine tour, ideal for hot days, because not only does a wild mountain stream flow through the narrow Tinne valley, but a fine cool breeze often blows as well.
Start in the picturesque old town of Klausen (1) towards the south. As soon as you cross the Tinnebach stream, the road turns right into the Tinnetal valley. After about 4.5 km you reach the fairytale-like Garnstein Castle (2) where you continue uphill to the right. Stay on the road and after a good hour (or 9 km) you reach the small village of Latzfons (3). Below the village, path (and short trail) no. 1A starts, which leads to Verdings (4). This is where the sporty part of the tour begins. Trail no. 1 takes you to Pardell (5) and from there along the Keschtnweg to the steep ramp to Kloster Säben (6). Do not go up this ramp, but turn left into the hairpin bends of the Säbener Promenade. If you still haven't descended to Branzoll Castle (7), the old stone steps into the town of Klausen give you the opportunity to show off all your skills. The last few metres are through the winding alleys of this charming little town before returning to the starting point (1).
