Mountain bike route from the Grödner Valley floor to the Seiser Alm
Tour provided by Val Gardena/Gröden Marketing Shortly after starting in St. Ulrich, the route shows its teeth for the first time: Over 100 meters of elevation gain it climbs at an average gradient of 16 percent to the district of Überwasser directly below the Seiser Alm cable car. A beautiful forest path leads with gentle ups and downs to Passberg. For a short section you now follow the main road toward Panider Sattel, but after less than 500 meters turn onto the traffic-free road to Pufels. Now it goes uphill continuously for over 600 meters, steep again in the lower part with a steady 15-16 percent gradient. Since this entire section is on asphalt, it is easily rideable for any well-trained biker. Through the secluded village of Pufels you reach the high plateau of the Seiser Alm near Hotel Monte Piz.
