The scenic route leads us from Postaja through Tolminski and Kanalski Lom and Grudnica to Široko, from where there is an interesting descent back to the starting point.
We start the route at Postaja. The path first leads us along the Idrijca River towards Most na Soči, from where we ascend to Tolminski and Kanalski Lom. The steep climb is eased by beautiful views of the Soča Valley. We continue to Lokovec, where we turn towards Grudnica and proceed to Široko. Increasingly beautiful views of the Alps and the valleys and ravines below them open up, reaching their peak at Široko. At the rural tourism farm (weekends and holidays), you can refresh yourself with homemade food, then a picturesque and scenic descent leads back to the starting point.

Safety information
On Grudnica and Široko we cross several pastures, so we must be careful of fences and wires that enclose them.
Tips and suggestions
At Široko, very well-prepared and technically skilled cyclists can also climb the descent route. They face a very steep and sometimes technically demanding ascent, after which an annual competitive mountain bike ascent takes place every August 15.
Roadbook
From Postaja, we cycle along a gravel road by the Idrijca River towards Most na Soči. When we reach the road that leads from Most na Soči to Tolminski Lom, we sharply turn left onto it. Immediately a steep climb begins, leading us to Tolminski Lom. We continue along the road to Kanalski Lom and then climb further towards Lokovec. The road starts descending and soon after the Lokovec sign, we see the first house. A little further we turn left. At the next intersection, we again turn left onto a road that gently ascends towards Grudnica. At the next fork, we keep left again. On the right, you can buy goat milk at a farm. Next is a split where we turn left onto a gravel road marked with a directional sign for the Tratar dairy. We continue on it and at the next fork turn left following signs for Grudnica. We descend to the Tratar dairy, before which we again turn left onto a steep concrete road that turns into gravel. We follow it to Široko. From Široko, we follow the signs to Postaja. At first, we ride on a rougher track, then on concrete and gravel roads.
