Tips and suggestions
The major ascents are done with cable cars, only about 750 m really have to be pedaled.Roadbook
We start at Camping Colfosco and ride to Corvara, then take the gondola up to Col Alto. After a short descent, the chairlift Braia Fraida takes the first part of the ascent to the Bioch Hut. On a hiking trail, we ride past the Bioch Hut to Pralongia.
We then follow initially a hiking trail and then the flowing Jägersteig trail to the Campolongo chairlift. Then down past the Plan Boe Hut on a narrow path towards Arabba. From Arabba, a gondola catapults us 900 meters uphill to Porta Vescovo. The following descent towards Passo Pordoi fascinates first with its brilliant view of the Sella group. Further down, it then branches onto a single trail where riders can really let loose their riding skills. The fun ends just before the pass summit. With the Saletei chairlift, we ride comfortably up to the Pordoi Pass. Directly below the Sas de Pordoi, the next dream descent of the Sellaronda MTB tour begins: 850 meters of elevation challenge the bikers to full concentration once again. Then you roll relaxed to Canazei in the Fassa valley and continue over a meadow path to Campitello.
A huge cabin takes us to the Col Rodella above the Sellajoch. The following part of the tour through the "Stone City" should be ridden carefully, as there are often hikers around.
The descent starts with a super trail in the shadow of the Langkofel. Surprisingly, before La Selva, it goes up another 50 meters, but then you roll down to Wolkenstein.
The last gondola takes us to the mountain station Dantercepies. You have a short moment to prepare on the gravel road towards Grödnerjoch for the following descent. Because right at the Grödnerjoch begins the last technical highlight of this tour: the single trail Frara towards Colfosco brings 300 meters of finest downhill fun. Impressed and highly satisfied, we roll the last stretch down to Camping Colfosco.
