Route that includes a ride up to Bric Rond by chairlift and a pedaled descent on a balcony path that cuts across the mountainside and offers breathtaking panoramic views.

This excursion includes the chairlift ride using 2 lifts, from Malzat to the Bric Rond station (2,480 m).

Now we expect a panoramic high-altitude route, traversing a beautiful former military mule track almost completely rideable with some initially exposed and winding sections, which first leads to the foot of Lake Envie, a suggestive body of water surrounded by mountains, reachable with a few minutes' detour. Then continue on a long flat traverse at an altitude of 2,300 m culminating at the Colle della Balma (2,315 m), near the ruins of a barracks located on the slopes of Rocca Bianca.

Then you dive into a beautiful single trail downhill between Colle della Balma and Colletta Sellar (2,028 m), rich with fun hairpin bends. Here we find the remains of an abandoned talc extraction area and the start of an unpaved road that, passing near the Maiera marble quarry, brings us back to Ghigo di Prali.

Along the route it is possible to see the remains of some fortifications dating back to the late nineteenth century; for more information visit the Atlas of Fortified Works website
