To a picturesque forest chalet in an area full of bears.
The cycle route itself, winding through the Muránska planina NP, is picturesque. With some luck, you can observe semi-wild horses grazing freely on Veľká lúka. Near the Maretkiná chalet there is outdoor seating where you can rest after the demanding climb.

During the ascent by asphalt road from Muráň to Veľká lúka be cautious; the road is passable for motor vehicles with appropriate permission. The Muráň - Veľká lúka route is one-way for cyclists.

Roadbook
The route starts in the village of Muráň, following a marked cycle path ascending by asphalt road through forested surroundings to the junction Veľká lúka – Piesky. There we join the yellow cycle route, which ends after about 3.5 km at the Maretkiná clearing, where there is a forest chalet and a farm building. The Maretkiná chalet stands a few dozen meters down to the left, behind a wooden ramp. We return to Muráň via Veľká lúka and Javorina saddle, as the Muráň - Veľká lúka route is one-way for cyclists.

Via state road 531 from Tisovec, or from Červená skala, and via state road 532 from Revúca.
