Roadbook
From Wolfsberg train station, head towards St. Jakob. Turn right over the Weißenbach to St. Margarethen. At the St. Jakob cemetery, after a few meters turn right and follow the signs to Oberleidenberg. From here it goes uphill and you ride on the mountain road to the turnoff vlg. Baumgartner. On hiking trail no. 333 ÖAV, it goes up to the Bischofeck, the highest point of the route (1357 m). Now begins the leisurely part of the circular route. Downhill, there are numerous opportunities to taste the culinary delicacies of the region. Via Prebl and along the Auenbach, it goes back to Wolfsberg.
Two short sections in the last third of the route are technically difficult to ride and a sporting challenge.

Equipment
If you have brains, protect them!
The helmet is a matter of course when mountain biking.
Right clothing!
Also carry warm clothing and a spare jersey in summer, especially in the pre- and post-season. At higher altitudes, bad weather without rain protection is unpleasant.
Carry emergency equipment!
Bandages, bike repair kit (spare tube, pump, tools), map, mobile phone and possibly GPS are always with you (Note: reception in the mountains is not guaranteed everywhere).
Keep drinking & eating in time!
Drink enough and plan a stop in good time. A hunger break in the middle of nowhere is tough.
