Fortunately, the road through Pufler Gorge is asphalted! Otherwise we would probably have some major problems getting up the rather steep road. At the top of the gorge the contrast could hardly be greater - the whole splendour of the huge Alpe di Siusi spreads out before us. The last part of the ascent to the Mittagsspitze is an easy single trail. On the descent, after point 19, the meadow terrain is largely pathless and we orientate ourselves with our GPS device alone. After a short counter ascent comes the real treat of the tour and the parts that made us rate difficulty 4. A quite steep single trail, which is partly rock-strewn and equipped with steep steps.
