Medergen

Those who want to complete the route with more descent than ascent start the Medergen circular route through the upper Schanfigg from the Weisshorn summit near Arosa and take the gondola for this. However, the route can also be conquered under your own power from Arosa by going via Maran and the Prätschalp to Ochsenalp.

On the Weisshorn variant, the route begins with the singletrail descent along the northern ridge past Sattelalp and Scheidegg. After Ochsenalp, you mainly follow singletrails down to the road on the edge of Tschiertschen. The fun descent continues to the bridge over the Plessur at Molinis.

Now the ascent to Medergen begins. This mainly leads on gravel paths via Litzirüti, climbing nearly 1,000 meters. Energy can then be refueled at the mountain guesthouse in Medergen, before heading into the famous and wonderful singletrail descent to the Arosa reservoir. This forms the spectacular finale of the route; only the return trip to Arosa along the road remains.
