Malcesine-Altissimo

From Malcesine take the Monte Baldo cable car to the ➊ Tratto Spino mountain station. Take the wide forest road to the ➋ junction with the provincial road „Monte Baldo“. Heading towards Rif. Graziani, you first reach the ➌ Rifugio Bocca di Navene (1424 m) and after about 200 m uphill the ➍ Berggasthof Rifugio Graziani (1650 m). Following the road, you pass through 2 dark tunnels and reach the village of ➎ San Valentino (1314 m). Follow the road downhill to ➏ S. Giacomo (1200 m). Turn left at the small chapel (signpost no. 622) and take the forest road in a northerly direction to the first fork. Continue straight ahead down the steep concrete ramp. Follow the signs „Side Trail Altissimo“, to Festa in the opposite direction (short pushing passage downhill). From ➐ Festa (880 m), follow the Gardabike MTB route on the left. Uphill, follow the shady forest road (two short steep ramps) to the first fork. On the right on the forest road (signpost „Le Torbiere“ ) begins the long, steep descent.
