Medium-difficulty trail route over Kösseine, Luisenburg, Hohe Matze, and Ochsenkopf summit.
A route with flowing but also challenging, rocky trails (which can be bypassed on easier routes) into the eastern part of the Fichtelgebirge to the Kösseine. Start at Bullhead House and over rolling terrain to Fichtelsee. Partly over flowing paths further to Nageler See. Then follows the ascent to the third highest summit of the Fichtelgebirge, the Kösseine. From there, trail-rich over the Haberstein down to the well-known rock labyrinth at Luisenburg near Wundsiedel. The trail fun continues towards Tröstau. Then up to Hohe Matze. Uphill and downhill trails alternate afterward before it goes comfortably up to Seehaus. On trails then downhill towards Fichtelsee and up to Ochsenkopf summit. Those who like it rocky ride the downhill route down to Bullhead House. More comfortably, it goes down the flowing “Blaupunkt Trail”.
