I.3 Uphill Idalp

Culinary delights and a sun terrace await you at the Idalp. As part of the Ironbike Festival, the course with the Alpenhaus Trophy calls for competition under floodlights. This route covers about 1,000 meters of altitude on a steadily ascending asphalt road. From the very beginning, it goes uphill in the direction of the Fimba Valley to the mid-station of the Fimbabahn or the Silvrettabahn. It is worth making a detour to the Schwarzwassersee and Pardatscher See. The road continues winding uphill towards the Pardatschgratbahn. The view into the pristine Fimba Valley and to the Gamspleisspitze becomes ever more spectacular. On arrival at the Idalp, the sun terrace invites you to stop by. To return to Ischgl, you can either take the road back or descend the fast-paced Paznauner Taja Trail (page 46) towards the Fimba Valley. Another option is to cycle further up the marked connecting route 7090 to the starting point at the Bergstation Flimjochbahn.
