Flowy natural trails and steep uphills.
This route combines less known trails in typical alsacienne landscapes. Farms, views and flow...
The uphills are relatively steep on forest roads and keep your heart rate constantly up. The first downhill is mostly easy and flowy on grippy soil with only very few tight hairpins on top and a metal stair at the bottom close to the small waterfall.
The second uphill takes you past a two farm restaurants with food from their own produce, the trail in between the two is rough and needs a good line choice and momentum in places.. Both can be recommended for a stop, the second "ferme auberge" has a very friendly farmer and family running it, but serves hot food only on weekends and reservation. The trail starting directly at their terrace is the highlight of the day. Very varied with small challenges it flows down the mountain very nicely, again only very few difficult spots.
