Hinterstoder Höss Mountain bike Route

The start is at INTERSPORT Pachleitner (4573, Hinterstoder 5), here you ride down the valley to the left and turn right at the toll road (free for mountain bikers). This panorama road (asphalt) is about 10 km long and steadily ascends. From the Höss middle station about 1 km flat to the Edtbauernalm, at the youth guest house turn right and then left, over the alpine path beneath the Edtbauernalm shelter, past the edge of the terrain. Now first steeply downhill, with beautiful views, push the bike (pushing section - observe signs!), over the old alpine path partly carved into rock into the Rottal (1 km). The alpine path continues quite bumpy downhill past the lower Edtbauernalm to a forest road. This now slightly climbs until a forest road joins on the right, then gently descending past the hiking trail junction Steyrsbergerreith (1,193m, managed from early July to early September). Continue gently descending to a hairpin bend, then steeper straight downhill, following several hairpins, from the right another road joins, downhill flatter again, past the service hut of the mountain rescue Vorderstoder, follow the signs (several junctions) reaching the Schafferteich (swimming possibility). Finally, you reach the asphalt road (junction to Binder and Ferienhof Großgrub). Left downhill on the asphalt road to Schaffergut, straight ahead to Vorderstoder. Sharp left leads the route along the Stodertal winter hiking trail back to Hinterstoder. First descending past an old smithy, then slightly ascending on a gravel road to Eckhartgut, through the farmyard and further flat below Hacklgut onto the access road to Baumschlagerberg (1.5 km away). Follow this shortly uphill to the left, then after Bärengut turn off to Hutgrabner. Through the farmyard, further downhill over the meadow path, then a gravel road, several hairpins through the forest downhill to the junction at the forest edge (several houses). Now left over the Knittelgraben ascent on the paved path, over a ridge to Luckerbauernbachl. Left the route continues increasingly steeply about 300 meters uphill to a small property (Bärensimmerl), now flat again through the forest to Wartegg estate (809 m). The access road Wartegg downhill to the old toll road, then further downhill and left to Landhotel Gressenbauer, and back to Hinterstoder to the starting point at INTERSPORT Pachleitner.
