    Tips and suggestions

In some sections you may have to push your bike.

    Roadbook

The route starts and ends in Crone, a hamlet of Idro, an ancient lakeside village that mirrors itself on the surface of Lake Idro. The first five flat kilometers along the eastern shore are really useful to warm up and to enjoy a ride close to the water.

The incline begins on asphalt up to Capovalle, a village still linked to mountain traditions that, as the name suggests, marks the beginning of Valle Sabbia, located between the basin of Lake Idro and that of Lake Garda. Upon reaching the village, enjoy a moment of rest admiring the landscape; to the left of the village you'll find the "Eggiolini Germano" Farm, which produces butter and Tombea cheese. In the center of the hamlet of Zumiè, instead, there is a small shop selling typical products of our territory as well as products from the "Le due Casine" farm.

The climb is very wide, easily rideable on your Mountain bike. The end of the climb also marks the end of the asphalt road, at the foot of Monte Stino. From here, the view of Lake Idro is truly spectacular.

At this point you find a pleasant dirt road that takes you up to the locality Bocca Cocca di Sotto (1,328m a.s.l.), traced for military purposes during the First World War.

The last kilometers of the route, immersed in woods on the eastern shore of Lake Idro, are the most scenic. You can catch brief glimpses of the magnificent landscape even descending on a trail: which does not require particular riding skills.

Ride for a flat stretch of five kilometers – perfect to loosen up the muscles – and if it is the season, refresh yourself with a nice swim.

Here you are again in Crone.
