From Le Locle station, we start off by heading south-west a little into the Jura heights, then cross the "Haut des Roussottes" heights via Le Prévoux along the French border. Le Cerneux-Péquignot is left behind and we cross the high valley of La Brévine. We enter the southern ridge to enjoy the view of the next valley from the trail above the Combes Dernier cliff. Up and down along the ridge we ride via Grande Joux and Petite Joux to Petit Som Martel and shortly afterwards to Grand Som Martel with a rewarding view. This puts the climbs behind us and we can enjoy the last few kilometres to Le Locle in peace and quiet, thus bringing the tour to an end.
