The ascent to the Breithorn involves a total of 1700 meters of elevation to overcome. From the hamlet Viertel, a forest road leads up no less than 14 hairpin bends to the pass below the Breithorn. On the ridge, follow the marked hiking trail to the summit of the Breithorn at 2599 meters above sea level (about 300 meters must be pushed). The view is impressive, opposite lies the Aletsch region and just below the well-known Binntal valley.
