The town of Bardolino has become especially well known for Bardolino wine. The grapes for this wine grow on the fertile, gentle moraine hills. This terrain is also suitable for hiking and cycling.
Start from ➊ I-Point in Bardolino. On the main road heading north to the junction with the sign ‘Eremo Camaldolesi’. Turn right, follow the road and the first signposts ‘La Rocca’. Via side roads to ➋ Strada delle Tezze, follow this briefly and make a hairpin turn south. Alternating over gravel roads and paths you reach ➌ Casa Maria. Continue to the junction and follow the signs to the left. Through vineyards to ➍ Strada Valleselle (attention, follow the sign ‘Giro dei Vigneti’ briefly here!). In ➎ Cortelline, go to ➏ main road, cross it and ascend slightly via a beautiful cypress avenue to ➐ Eremo dei Camaldolesi (280 m). Down the forest path along the ring wall to the striking crossing ➑ Sella di Rocca (245 m). Always downhill, the path leads directly to the terrace of the ➒ inn/agritur All’Eremo (walk!). A short rough singletrail ends in the street after ➓ Le Mure. Downhill you reach after about 850 m the access road that leads back to the starting point in Bardolino.
