The route starting at the Kulturforum (Platz der Verfassungsfreunde, Borofsky sculpture) opens up the foothill zone and circles the Offenburger local mountains. Suppressed springs invite you to rest just like the inns after the descent through the Riedle.

Start is at the Kulturforum building complex on the east side. You go straight along "Walter-Blumenstock-Str." heading east.
At the end of it, continue straight on the path designated for agriculture and forestry towards Albersbach.
At the district road (km 2) cross it.
Continue straight following the MTB signage (OF17) towards Hohes Horn on the street "Im Albersbach".
At km 3 continue straight uphill on a forest path.
At the next intersection (km 3.7) go right continuing uphill.
At the next MTB branch (OF20 Hohes Horn) (km 4.7) turn left.
Follow this path uphill to Hohes Horn.
At km 5.8 you reach the junction to Hohes Horn.
Hohes Horn - Brandeckkopf 11.5 km
After the detour to the tower, continue on this path, first half left, then around the right curve and at the next intersection after the curve straight ahead, following this path until km 7.
